ABOUT US
WHO IS CVMA® ?
We are an Association of Combat Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. As a registered 501(c) veterans’ charity, our mission is to support and protect those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Our focus is to provide assistance and help to individual veterans, veteran care facilities, other veteran organizations and registered charities. We sponsor and participate in many veteran-related motorcycle (and other) charity events each year, and as a non-profit organization, donate to various veteran causes.
Please note that we are an ASSOCIATION and NOT a MOTORCYCLE CLUB (MC). Although we may be in a geographic area, we do not claim territory. We do not have a club house. The patch on our back is one piece.
OUR PATCH
Our patch has a very significant meaning to all of our members which is symbolized as follows:
Red, representing the blood that has been shed on the battlefield.
Military Gold, representing all branches of the military service of the United States.
Black, representing the heavy hearts possessed for those who gave their lives and for those that are considered missing in action or prisoners of war.
The Skull and Ace of Spades represents the death that war leaves in its wake.
Our Association
Our membership is comprised of Full Members (those with verified combat service), Auxiliary Members (the spouses of Full Members), and Supporter Members (those who have non-combat military service, and have a sincere dedication to helping veterans). We have members from nearly all 50 states and living abroad. Many members continue to serve in our Armed Forces, with several serving in combat areas now.
We are an association, not a motorcycle club. We have no intention of ever trying to become a motorcycle club.
Our Patch is earned by being a Combat Veteran.
We pay small yearly dues that are used to benefit veteran issues.
All makes and models of motorcycle are welcomed in the CVMA (500 cc or greater).
We are a non-territorial association and wear nothing signifying territory.
We are a neutral association and do not wear any MC support patches.
Women riders are welcome and can be full members if they have served in harms way in one of our military branches.
We are a 501(c) (19) Tax Exempt, non-profit organization.
If you want to learn more about our association or would like to consider becoming a member, please fill out the Contact Us form via the link below. We'd be happy to hear from you!
Auxiliary Scholarship Program
The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Auxiliary (CVMA®-A) administers a scholarship program for CVMA or CVMAA members and their spouses, children, and grandchildren. This scholarship fund is supported by Auxiliary dues and donations. The Auxiliary Scholarship awards are unrestricted other than the requirement to attend an institute of higher learning seeking an Associate's or higher degree during the year of the award. The applicant must be a CVMA or CVMAA member, spouse, widow, legal child, stepchild, or grandchild of a CVMA or CVMAA member. All CVMA member types are eligible as scholarship sponsors (Full, Support, or Auxiliary). Members must be in good standing at the time of submission to sponsor an applicant. Each year the total amount awarded, and the number of awards given is determined in relation to the dues and donations received.
Please consider making a donation on behalf of Chapter 36-2 so that we may continue helping our CVMA family.
